I have been fortunate enough to have had many
opportunities to teach Dance in various settings and in a vast range of levels and ages. I've taught in Foster homes, After School Programs, High Schools, Performing Arts High Schools, Universities, Festivals, with Pre-Professional companies as well as in competitive settings. As a Professional Contemporary Dancer, having knowledge of various techniques has helped to broaden my skill set and offer versatile classes and choreographed work.
As a teacher my hope is to instill confidence, integrity, authenticity, and strength in my students. Through whichever technique being offered, my intention is to teach students to digest and interpret technique through the understanding of their particular body's abilities.
Dance contributes to feelings of confidence and worthiness. And THAT contributes to the ability to show up, speak up, and take up space!
